A huge blaze has erupted in a Scots town<\/a> with residents being asked to keep windows closed.<\/p>\n The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service<\/a> received reports of a substantial fire tearing through Lossiemouth Quarry on Tuesday September 11 at around 7pm.<\/p>\n Roads in the area including the A941 remain closed while emergency services deal with the incident.<\/p>\n Shocking images show metres of ferocious orange flames<\/a> across the landscape as thick plumes of black smoke arise into the air.<\/p>\n Four fire engines and a water carrier remain at the scene while hero firefighters battle to get the inferno under control.<\/p>\n It is understood this is the third fire at the location this year.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they received a call alerting them to a blaze at Lossiemouth Quarry on September 11 at around 19.19pm.<\/p>\n Four appliances and a water carrier are at the scene and locals living close to the location are advised to keep windows closed.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The A941 is closed in both directions between the B9103 and the B9135 following a report of a fire at a premises around 7.20pm on Thursday, 11 September, 2025.<\/p>\n “Emergency services are in attendance and drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
