{"id":416957,"date":"2025-09-11T23:02:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T23:02:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/416957\/"},"modified":"2025-09-11T23:02:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T23:02:11","slug":"battersea-residents-left-homeless-after-fire-in-five-storey-block","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/416957\/","title":{"rendered":"Battersea residents left homeless after fire in five-storey block"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Around 100 people are unable to return to their homes after a fire broke out at a block of flats in south London on Wednesday evening.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The London Fire Brigade sent 100 firefighters to tackle the blaze at the five-storey building on Maysoule Road, Battersea.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Speaking to BBC London, one eye-witness said: &#8220;I saw a massive cloud of smoke. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Next minute it was like the whole roof was orange, like engulfed, literally engulfed in flames.
