The vote asked listeners to \u201cmake their mind up\u201d and select five songs from a list of 67 pre-determined entries which consisted of all Eurovision Song Contest winners between 2000 and 2024, runners-up, iconic performances and fan favourites.<\/p>\n
After tens of thousands of votes were submitted, the top five were as follows:<\/p>\n

- \ud83c\uddeb\ud83c\uddee Cha Cha Cha by K\u00e4\u00e4rij\u00e4 (2023)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

The results of the vote are now available on BBC Sounds in a special top 40 countdown entitled, \u201cYour Ultimate Eurovision Song\u201d hosted by Michelle Visage, and will also be broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday, 17 May 2025 between 3pm and 5pm BST.<\/p>\n

The United Kingdom debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957 and holds the record for the most consecutive appearances in the contest. To date, the UK has won the contest a total of five times, with their first victory coming in 1967 and their latest in 1997. The UK holds the record for the most second-place finishes in the contest, having been runner-up a total of 16 times. Since 2000 the UK has finished within the top 10 only three times, this being in 2002 with Jessica Garlick, 2009 with Jade Ewen and 2022 with Sam Ryder who finished 2nd in Turin. <\/p>\n
