On the other hand, pursuing an alternative contract would not be economically viable, she added.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If you can\u2019t tell people how much stuff costs or where to buy it, they don\u2019t buy very much of it,\u201d Gardiner observed, contrasting the situation in Europe with that in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe U.S. government has taken decisive action,\u201d\u00a0she said.\u00a0\u201cUnfortunately, in Europe, the same cannot be said \u2014 the Digital Markets Act has yet to deliver the same results for consumers in Europe.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Commission has been scrutinizing Apple\u2019s proposal to reform its App Store practices, which came as a direct response to the DMA.
