\n Your Party, currently being set-up by the two MPs, has gathered more than 800,000 sign-ups across the UK so far.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n Members will name the party properly at a conference<\/strong><\/a> later this year. But local branches have popped up across the UK in the interim.\n<\/p>\n \n READ MORE:<\/strong> Your Party Scottish branch calls on Jeremy Corbyn to field Holyrood candidates<\/strong><\/a>\n<\/p>\n \n The setting up of an Edinburgh branch by supporters comes after a successful first meeting of the first Scottish proto-branch in Glasgow \u2013 which saw over 200 attend at the Renfield Centre in the city centre.\n<\/p>\n \n It also comes ahead of the Holyrood<\/strong><\/a> elections next year, with reports suggesting the party may field candidates north of the border.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n \n The group, naming itself Your Party Edinburgh, has set up a page on Instagram<\/a> which includes a sign up link.\n<\/p>\n \n The National spoke with one of the organisers who said they are a \u201cgrowing group of activists and community organisers\u201d that have come together to start organising for what will become Your Party Edinburgh.\n<\/p>\n \n \u201cWe are planning to have a launch event later this month,\u201d they added.\n<\/p>\n
