Leeds United have injuries to the likes of Lukas Nmecha and Joel Piroe and Graham Smyth has the latest verdict on the situation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds United<\/a> are currently injury-hit, and Joel Piroe and Lukas Nmecha are struggling with issues<\/a> ahead of the trip to Fulham at Craven Cottage.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not all been bad news, despite the fact Joe Rodon withdrew from the Wales squad<\/a>. That\u2019s because Graham Smyth is reporting Rodon should make the Fulham game<\/a> tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Farke did confirm\u00a0reports that Lucas Perri is sidelined<\/a>. Farke also said that\u00a0Nmecha<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Piroe<\/a>\u00a0have suffered knocks during training and are doubts. But who caused them? Graham Smyth has speculated.<\/p>\n

Leeds\u2019 Jaka Bijol was \u2018rattled\u2019 on international duty<\/a>. However,\u00a0Leeds paid around \u00a315 million to sign Bijol<\/a>\u00a0but the 26-year-old is yet to play in the Premier League.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bijol is adamant he will come good for Leeds<\/a>\u00a0but one frustrating cup performance against Sheffield Wednesday is all he has to show for it.<\/p>\n

Graham Smyth has questioned whether that is a factor in any of this. Speaking via The Inside Elland Road podcast, he said: \u201cThe question marks he does have are over Lukas Nmecha and Joel Piroe. <\/p>\n

\u201cNmecha took a kick on his foot in training. Piroe took a kick to the calf. Who is going around kicking everyone? <\/p>\n

\u201cWho\u2019s kicking people at Thorp Arch? Who do we reckon it is? Who\u2019s the angriest man? Possibly Rodon. But it\u2019s most likely to be Bijol, isn\u2019t it? Because it\u2019s two forwards that have picked up a kick. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd we know from when I interviewed Nmecha and Piroe, both of them said that Bijol does like to leave one on you late. But really, if you\u2019re Bijol, you really need to be leaving one on a center-half, don\u2019t you?<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause that\u2019s your route into the team. He\u2019s got that wrong. I think if this is a Netflix true crime, we\u2019re going to be looking at motive and Bijol not starting. He\u2019s probably, you know, maybe a bit more angry.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut he\u2019s picked the wrong victim, hasn\u2019t he? He\u2019s got to be leaving one on Rodon or on Struijk.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bijol\u2019s incredible aerial dominance as a centre-back<\/a> has yet to be seen but it is why he is described as such a warrior, and the defender will hope his chance is imminent in West Yorkshire.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Then speaking about alternatives to the potentially injured duo, Smyth added on Calvert-Lewin coming in: \u201cI don\u2019t see why not at this stage. He\u2019s a month into team training, isn\u2019t he? <\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, he didn\u2019t have pre-season. They will be cautious with him because if he breaks down earlier in the season, then the decision to sign him suddenly looks pretty terrible. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, you absolutely have to manage him and you have to make sure that you get the most possible minutes out of him across the season. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou can\u2019t just think, \u2018we need a striker for Fulham\u2019. It has to be, \u2018we need a striker that can play a lot of minutes between now and the end of the season\u2019. So, I think if they do take that decision, they\u2019ll be very very careful with it. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut Nmecha, he\u2019s played a fair bit. His match fitness would be probably sharper because he\u2019s had a longer pre-season as well. If he\u2019s only had a little kick, I don\u2019t know that it would rule him out of starting.<\/p>\n
