{"id":419461,"date":"2025-09-12T21:42:18","date_gmt":"2025-09-12T21:42:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/419461\/"},"modified":"2025-09-12T21:42:18","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T21:42:18","slug":"harrogate-rape-suspect-could-be-sleeping-on-streets-in-leeds-say-police-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/419461\/","title":{"rendered":"Harrogate rape suspect could be sleeping on streets in Leeds, say police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police believe a wanted <a href=\"https:\/\/thestrayferret.co.uk\/in-your-area\/harrogate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harrogate<\/a> man could be sleeping on the streets in Leeds.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northyorkshire.police.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Yorkshire Police<\/a> has been trying to locate Clifford Church since last month following the reported rape of a woman in Harrogate on August 7.<\/p>\n<p>In a renewed appeal, the force believes the 62-year-old suspect is in Leeds and could be sleeping on the streets.<\/p>\n<p>Officers believe people using the city\u2019s bus station, the city\u2019s Kirkgate Market, and the homeless population in the city centre may have encountered Church, who has distinctive tattoos.<\/p>\n<p>Church has a number of tattoos, including a dot on his left check and a half-inch line to his eyebrow, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Police believe a wanted Harrogate man could be sleeping on the streets in Leeds.
