An MP has slammed a \u201chugely damaging\u201d event set to be held by controversial adult star Bonnie Blue aimed at Scottish university students. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Real name Tia Billinger, she gained fame on social media after she claimed to have had sex with more than 1,000 men in 12 hours.<\/p>\n

A freshers week event is set to be held in Glasgow on Saturday, after a previous event due to occur in Dundee was removed from Blue\u2019s social media.<\/p>\n

In a post on X, she advertised the event and said: \u201cFirst stop Glasgow, see you soon boys.\u201d<\/p>\n

A disclaimer on her website states: \u201cBonnie will not be engaging in any sexual activity with the public.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old has been banned from platforms such as adult site OnlyFans due to the nature of her content.<\/p>\n

Blue, who was the subject of a Channel 4 documentary called \u20181,000 Men and Me\u2019, said every participant in her videos has to sign a consent form and show ID beforehand.<\/p>\n

\u2018Glamourisation of commercialisation of women\u2019s bodies\u2019<\/p>\n

Joani Reid, MP for East Kilbride and Strathaven, told STV News the freshers event is \u201chugely damaging\u201d for both young women and men.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cLet me be clear, Bonnie Blue is not bringing empowerment to universities, including in Glasgow.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not entertainment. It\u2019s the glamorisation of the commercialisation of women\u2019s bodies. It is harmful to all women across Scotland, and young men as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe problem is deeper and more systemic than Bonnie Blue herself. I\u2019m deeply concerned about the rise of this kind of pornography on platforms like OnlyFans.<\/p>\n

\u201cYoung women are feeling coerced into imitating this kind of behaviour, and young boys are being desensitised to violent and degrading behaviour towards women.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hugely damaging.\u201d<\/p>\n
