Darko Gyabi arrived at Leeds United from Manchester City years ago with a big reputation but left with a whimper on deadline day.<\/strong><\/p>\n When Leeds sold Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City<\/a>, that same summer, Gyabi<\/a> made the move from the Etihad to Elland Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n The youngster arrived with much promise, but ultimately failed to settle and establish himself in the first team in West Yorkshire, with the midfielder even joining Plymouth on loan last season.<\/p>\n This time around, the midfielder\u2019s Leeds exit is a permanent one, and Gyabi has revealed all about his deadline day move to Hull City<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Elland Road faithful were furious with the 49ers<\/a> after Gyabi\u2019s move to Hull was the only deal United were involved in on the final day of the window.<\/p>\n There was little pushback, however, regarding the 21-year-old leaving, as it was clear he was not a part of Daniel Farke\u2019s<\/a> plans.<\/p>\n Speaking on \u2018The 1904 Club \u2013 a Hull City podcast\u2019 on 11 September 2025, Gyabi had this to say about leaving the Whites.<\/p>\n \u201cTo be fair, it was something that was happening in the background for a couple of weeks before that (deadline day).
