GTA VI fans have braced themselves for the inevitable price hike with the highly anticipated Rockstar Games release.<\/p>\n
Earlier this week, Nintendo finally revealed all the juicy details for the Switch 2<\/a> including specifications, release date, price, launch titles and more.<\/p>\n At launch, you\u2019ll be able to pick up two versions of the Nintendo Switch 2<\/a>, one with just the console and the other bundled with Mario Kart World<\/a>.<\/p>\n Check out the Nintendo Switch 2 overview trailer below!<\/strong><\/p>\n As joyous as it was for fans to see what the Nintendo Switch 2 brings to the table, many fans were frustrated by the new high RRP<\/a> introduced with some of its new games such as Mario Kart World<\/a> having an RRP of \u00a374.99, more than any standard PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X\/S launch title.<\/p>\n Sure, the digital version is about \u00a310 less, but it\u2019s arguably what the physical game should cost and to me at least, feels like a tactic to push players towards digital games by picking the best out of two not-so-great options.<\/p>\n However, the biggest concern for me is that this will set a new standard and other publishers might think \u201cWell, if Nintendo is doing it, so shall we\u201d and charge an extra premium for standard edition games.<\/p>\n Moreover, many publishers will certainly try to hike up the price of standard edition games and then still try to sell us season passes, battle passes, DLC and in-game currency purchases on top.<\/p>\n \u201cYeah bros, I think GTA VI<\/a> is gonna be $100,\u201d said<\/a> Redditor Specific-Ad-8430, referring to rumours that the highly anticipated Rockstar Games title is going to be the most expensive base launch game.<\/p>\n \u201cGross.
