A new banqueting hall and wedding venue could soon be coming to Middleton<\/a>.<\/p>\n In the scheme, the old Conservative club in the town would be transformed into a new multi-use function space for events such as weddings, ceremonial gatherings, and other community events.<\/p>\n A two-storey extension has been proposed by developer Kohinoor Banqueting Limited, who announced their intention to spruce up the site earlier this year, in order to expand the space to cater for larger gatherings.<\/p>\n To see planning applications; traffic and road diversions and layout changes; and more, visit the Public Notices Portal HERE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Proposals for the Long Street site include internal refurbishments; renovation of the existing heritage fa\u00e7ade; and a two-storey extension.<\/p>\n The proposed transformation will see the disused area at the back of the building adapted into a car park with new plants, green swales and a \u2018green-wall\u2019.<\/p>\n The developers say the contemporary extension would take inspiration from the existing Middleton Conservative Club \u2013 which closed in 2020.<\/p>\n Planning papers read: \u201cThe proposal aligns with the Middleton Town Centre Masterplan by contributing to the regeneration and revitalisation of the town centre.<\/p>\n \u201cThe refurbishment and redevelopment of 77 Long Street will enhance the public realm and provide an attractive, sustainable space that supports community interaction and local business growth.<\/p>\n Sign up to the MEN Politics newsletter Due North here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cBy bringing a vacant historic building back into use, the development supports the masterplan\u2019s objectives of reusing heritage assets, improving public spaces, and enhancing connectivity within Middleton\u2019s town centre.\u201d<\/p>\n![\"CGI](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/1757735299_774_0_CGI-of-how-the-new-banquet-hall-on-old-Conservative-club-site-in-Middleton-could-look.jpg\")
