The Bundeswehr has reportedly spoken to companies including defence firm Rheinmettal, state-owned railway operator Deutsche Bahn and airline company Lufthansa as fears over <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/vladimir-putin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vladimir Putin<\/a>&#8216;s <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/russia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Russia<\/a> continue, sparking panic among NATO member states.<\/p>\n<p>The Handelsblatt newspaper in <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/germany\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Germany<\/a> reports the country\u2019s armed forces have approached the companies to see if they could help with the deployment of troops and equipment to the alliance\u2019s eastern border. <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/germany\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Germany<\/a> has pledged 35,000 soldiers and more than 200 aircraft and ships within 30 days of any major war involving <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/nato\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NATO<\/a>.
