Prince Harry<\/a> \u201cregrets<\/a>\u201d some of his actions since stepping back from his royal duties \u2014 and his recent visit to the UK was about starting to rebuild relationships with both his family and the British public, a royal source has claimed.<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex, 40,<\/a> is currently in Ukraine<\/a> after spending four days in the UK, where he attended a series of successful events in London and Nottingham. <\/p>\n

During his trip, he also met with his father King Charles <\/a>\u2014 marking their first face-to-face meeting in over a year and a half. <\/p>\n

This could mark a turning point for Prince Harry, a royal insider told the Daily Mai<\/a>l, potentially paving the way for Harry, Meghan, and their two children to reintegrate into the wider royal family<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the newspaper, the King is reportedly keen to rebuild his relationship<\/a> with his son and wants to spend time with his grandchildren, who he has not seen in three years.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s become clear that Harry now regrets some of his actions. He wants to reset his relationship with his family and with the people of the UK\u201d, the insider said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s hard to see him ever coming back to live in Britain<\/a> but this may be the start of something that at least allows them to be a functioning wider family again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Charles and Harry had not seen each other for more than a year (PA Wire)<\/p>\n

Prince Harry met with his father<\/a> for tea at Clarence House earlier this week, signalling a shift in attitudes after their family rift. <\/p>\n

The meeting came after Harry paid respects to his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II at her grave in Windsor to mark the third anniverary of her death. <\/p>\n

Speaking after the meeting Harry<\/a> said of his father: \u201cYes he\u2019s great, thank you\u201d. <\/p>\n

After losing his High Court battle with the Home Office in May over his security in the UK, Prince Harry told the BBC he \u201cwould love a reconciliation\u201d with the Royal Family. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere’s no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious,” he added. <\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex has now travelled to Ukraine, as part of his work with the Invictus Games which supports wounded soldiers. <\/p>\n

The prince said: \u201cI had to check with my wife and the British government to make sure it was ok.\u201d<\/p>\n
