Netflix fans have slammed a ‘horrifying’ action-adventure film that has appeared on the streaming platform, despite it earning a top spot in the Top.10 streaming charts<\/a>. Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, was first released in 2004.<\/p>\n

The horror film, directed by Dwight H. Little, is currently sitting at number eight in the top.10 on Netflix<\/a>. However viewers who tuned in have had a string of complaints.<\/p>\n

The official synopsis reads: “Bill Johnson leads a group of scientists into the jungles of Borneo. They are searching<\/a> for the mythical black orchid, which can supposedly grant eternal life.<\/p>\n

“Unfortunately, massive<\/a> anacondas have been feeding on the orchids for years. When their boat goes over a waterfall, the scientists land right in the middle of the snakes’ home.”<\/p>\n

Many viewers<\/a> are all saying the same thing, that the snake looks “unrealistic”, not only this but they have slammed producers who haven’t even fact-checked, as there’s actually no anacondas in Borneo, where the film is to have been set.<\/p>\n

Taking to Google reviews, one person wrote: “They have built an entire franchise without any basis on facts. Anacondas haven’t been reported to kill humans. But this particular film goes even further- you don’t have anacondas in Borneo.”<\/p>\n

They added: “Utterly nonsensical but somehow still fun to watch if you want to watch something and laugh out loud.”<\/p>\n

Someone else noted: “A good movie over all. Good effects. Inaccurate as to anaconda behavior. They do not hunt for sport, only for hunger.”<\/p>\n

However some fans were quick to say they loved it. One person wrote on Google reviews: “I cannot believe this movie got such a low rating! I mean, okay to be honest the snakes looked a bit unrealistic and there might be few things incorrect factually, but that does not mean this movie deserves such a low review.”<\/p>\n

They continued: “For a starter, they got the culture right where they spoke in Indonesian at the start of the film. Two, the acting was amazing. All of them did their part great. Three, the movie has a decent storyline and lastly, it is interesting to watch and by that I mean you can watch this movie a few times.”<\/p>\n

Someone else wrote: “I really like this movie! not a single moment someone will feel bore! yeah i’ll agree that this movie is the best among other anaconda movies … yes some points will seems unrealistic but come on, its a fantasy movie, take those points as fantasy!”<\/p>\n

A third quipped: “One of those movies that you watch just for fun and chill. It is a nice ‘cozy sofa at home, tasty dinner, legs on the table’ type of movie that you just can’t resist to enjoy.”<\/p>\n

“First off let me say, that I’m incredibly shocked at how much I liked this. The acting was bad, yes. But the first anaconda had terrible acting. But the movie overall was so fun. And hard to keep your eyes off it,” penned someone else.<\/p>\n
