It has been reported that this is due to the number of engagements that William has undertaken – compared to the higher number for the King.<\/p>\n
William, 43, is understood to prefer and prioritise high “impact” engagements, like his project Homewards, which aims to end homelessness, over volume.<\/p>\n
He is also known to, much like Princess Kate, prioritise his role as a parent over his duties. The couple are proud parents to Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and seven-year-old Prince Louis.<\/p>\n
Discussing this, Ms Brown added: “Somehow, William\u2019s parenting dedication always seems couched as a tacit criticism of the King\u2019s own paternal deficiencies”<\/p>\n
Speaking of recent engagements, she added: “And after five confirmed family vacations in the past seven months, William\u2019s first-week-back diary pulsated with two outings: a father-daughter excursion to a Women’s Rugby World Cup pool match and a stroll through the Natural History Museum\u2019s new gardens. Charles, despite his battle with cancer, has carried out official engagements on 175 days during the past 12 months”.<\/p>\n
Kate and William are said to have previously stated their wish to prioritise George, Charlotte and Louis above duty – with the couple wishing to carry out typical parenting tasks like the school run.<\/p>\n
