Police say they are increasingly concerned about a missing Scots busker<\/a> who was last seen five weeks ago.<\/p>\n

Lewis Cuthbert vanished in South Lanarkshire<\/a> on Monday, August 4, 2025.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old was last seen around 4pm in the Lesmahagow Road area of Strathaven<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Edinburgh busker is known to visit the capital and Glasgow<\/a> to perform.<\/p>\n

He has been described as 5ft 10in tall, of slim build with short brown hair<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Officers<\/a> are appealing to the public for help and have said he may have grown facial hair since he was last seen.<\/p>\n

He is believed to have been wearing a brown cord jacket<\/a> with sheepskin collar when last seen.<\/p>\n

It’s also thought he was carrying a backpack with Bluetooth speaker<\/a> and microphone.<\/p>\n

A dedicated team of officers has been carrying out extensive enquiries in the areas he is known to visit, Edinburgh Live<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

This includes Edinburgh<\/a> and Glasgow.<\/p>\n

CCTV footage<\/a> has been reviewed, and over 100 homes in the Strathaven area have been visited as part of door-to-door enquiries.<\/p>\n

Local officers are being supported by national resources<\/a>, including specialist search teams and drones from the air support unit.<\/p>\n

Officers<\/a> have also been searching on quad bikes and using dogs.<\/p>\n

Chief Inspector Paul Doyle<\/a>, local area commander, said: \u201cIt has now been almost six weeks since Lewis was reported missing.<\/p>\n

“We continue to work hard to trace him, using every resource at our disposal.<\/p>\n

\u201cDoor-to-door enquiries continue to be carried out.<\/p>\n

“Officers will be in the Strathaven area this weekend while our searches are ongoing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe continue to urge the public to come forward with any information they may have.<\/p>\n

“No matter how small it may seem, it may be key to helping us find him.\u201d<\/p>\n
