Prince Harry was back in the UK this week, and unlike some of his previous trips across the pond this year while dealing with a legal appeal over his UK security arrangements<\/a>, this time he\u2019s been promoting charitable causes close to his heart, and enjoying a bit of personal time too. Yesterday, he met with his father, King Charles<\/a>, for the first time in 19 months, after which Harry told a reported that Charles is doing \u201cgreat.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Today, a spokesperson for the prince shared a bit more on his feelings about his latest visit, saying, “He\u2019s obviously loved being back in the UK, catching up with old friends, colleagues and just generally being able to support the incredible work of the causes that mean so much to him.”<\/p>\n

One such cause Harry showed his support for was The Diana Award, a youth empowerment project set up in the memory of Harry\u2019s late mother, Princess Diana. At a panel discussing the impacts of activism on mental health\u2014the Award kicked off the project the \u201cDecade of Youth Wellbeing\u201d last year\u2014Harry said, “Our mental health and our emotional health through our nervous system is being tested every single day, and this proven model of being engaged with or finding your purpose with social action, it really does work. You guys are testament to that.\u201d He added, \u201cIf you’re a young person it can sometimes feel as though you’re lost and separated from a group and you feel isolated. But I can assure you that there’s nothing wrong with you.”<\/p>\n

It was a sentiment echoed by The Diana Award CEO Dr Tessy Ojo, who shared in a statement, \u201cOne in five young people is living with a diagnosable mental health condition, and four in ten feel powerless about their future. The crisis is real. \u2026 When young people are trusted to lead and take action, their wellbeing rises, their resilience grows, and hope is restored. Put simply, action heals minds.”<\/p>\n

While Harry and his brother, Prince William, have both been involved in the work of The Diana Award in the past, William wasn\u2019t present today, and there has been no word of the brothers meeting during Harry\u2019s time in the country.<\/p>\n
