The body of a 56-year-old man has been discovered<\/a> at a property in Edinburgh.<\/p>\n Emergency services<\/a> descended on New Lairdship Place in the town at around noon on Saturday September 13 following the report of a death.<\/p>\n Shocked locals noticed the road had been locked down<\/a> with one commenting there was a ‘serious police presence,’ reports Edinburgh Live.<\/a><\/p>\n Forensic cops scoured the scene, with three officers<\/a> in white suits were spotted at the scene.<\/p>\n The death is not being treated as suspicious<\/a> and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal shortly.<\/p>\n An eye witness, who wished to remain anonymous, previously said: “Broomhouse is normally a really quite place during the day and you don’t normally see an emergency service response like that in a residential street.”<\/p>\n A Police Scotland spokesperson said: \u201cWe received a report of the death of a 56-year-old man at a property on New Lairdship Place, Edinburgh, around 12pm on Saturday, 13 September, 2025.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.\u201d<\/p>\n We’ll be bringing you the very latest updates, pictures and video on this breaking news story.<\/p>\n
