\n\tPrince Harry<\/a>\u2019s visit to the U.K. this week didn\u2019t just thaw out the family feud with King Charles III, it seemed to have shined a light on Prince William<\/a> and Kate Middleton<\/a>\u2018s public image.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tRoyal experts are chiming in about the Duke of Sussex\u2019s trip back home and how he was a breath of fresh air for palace coverage \u2014\u00a0but it comes at the expense of Kate and William.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAt last, Prince Harry has got it right, which is bad news for the Prince of Wales,\u201d wrote Tina Brown in her Fresh Hell<\/a> Substack column on Sept. 10. \u201cAfter five years of exuding choler and wrath and spouting therapeutic gibberish, the ginger whinger finally realized that all the royals have to do to win public enthusiasm<\/a> is zip around the UK and smile.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBrown described Harry\u2019s effortless appearances as \u201cbuoyant\u201d while noting that William looked \u201csober\u201d and \u201cappropriate\u201d at his engagements. Kate didn\u2019t fare much better as the royal author called her \u201cinfinitely perfect\u201d \u2014 and no, that wasn\u2019t a compliment.<\/p>\n

\n\tDaily Mail <\/a>writer Amanda Platell hasn\u2019t been a big fan of Harry and Meghan Markle over the years, but she might be changing her mind about the Duke of Sussex. She put the Prince and Princess of Wales on warning with her Sept. 12 column.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHarry\u2019s visit brought us something we have not seen for a very long time from the royals \u2013 laughter and joy,\u201d she wrote. \u201cWhich leaves many of us asking why William and Kate have decided to hide away and become the Prince and Princess of Boring.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPlatell gave Harry high praise, comparing his visit to a Princess Diana engagement during her era. \u201cAnd that is why Harry\u2019s visit should be a wake-up call for his estranged brother William. In my book, he should stop skulking and be the man he was born to be,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe palace is said to be frustrated with Kate and William\u2019s light work schedule<\/a>. It was understandable last year during the Princess of Wales\u2019 cancer battle, but they are reportedly not pleased with the royal couple\u2019s workload this year.<\/p>\n

\n\tBrown shared that Charles is \u201ccurrently less irritated with the prodigal Harry than he is with his elder son and heir. After five confirmed family vacations in the past seven months, William\u2019s first-week-back diary pulsated with two outings: a father-daughter excursion to a Women\u2019s Rugby World Cup pool match and a stroll through the Natural History Museum\u2019s new gardens.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThere\u2019s no indication that William and Kate are heeding the British media\u2019s calls for stepping up their public image, but Harry\u2019s visit might make them realize that the royal narrative is shifting quickly.<\/p>\n
