1<\/p>\n Officers raced to the property on New Lairdship Place in Edinburgh this afternoonCredit: Google<\/p>\n The alarm was raised after police<\/a> received a report of the death of a 56-year-old man at New Lairdship Place in the capital.<\/p>\n An investigation was launched following the tragic discovery.<\/p>\n Officers confirmed there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.<\/p>\n A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.<\/p>\n A Police Scotland<\/a> spokesperson told STV News<\/a>: “We received a report of the death of a 56-year-old man at a property on New Lairdship Place, Edinburgh, around 12pm on Saturday, 13 September, 2025.<\/p>\n “There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”<\/p>\n Meanwhile earlier the same day cops cordoned off a large area of Calderglen Country\u00a0Park\u00a0<\/a>in East Kilbride ,\u00a0Lanarkshire<\/a>, close to a playground and popular zoo.<\/p>\n It\u2019s understood officers were summoned to the scene early\u00a0this morning\u00a0after the tragic discovery in the\u00a0park\u00a0overnight.<\/p>\n They focused their attention on a popular\u00a0beauty\u00a0spot known as the Horseshoe Falls.<\/p>\n Police say the man’s\u00a0death\u00a0is being treated as unexplained.<\/p>\n But they do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.<\/p>\n A police car had been driven down a walkway normally used by dog walkers and officers can be seen guarding the area.<\/p>\n An onlooker who saw the large police presence said: \u201cYou can see a whole load of cops down at the wee bridge next to the waterfall and whatever has happened it looks very serious.\u201d<\/p>\n Several cop cars are also parked in the courtyard next to the local golf course Torrance House.<\/p>\n Police officers carrying equipment bags were seen walking into the woods.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A MAN has been found dead at a property in a Scottish city.
