Leeds United were on track to pick up another valuable point until a late own goal from Gabriel Gudmundsson handed Fulham a 1-0 win on Saturday.<\/strong><\/p>\n It was deja vu for the Leeds<\/a> supporters who had travelled down to Craven Cottage, as their side struggled to see their side create clear-cut chances from open play for the fourth consecutive Premier League match.<\/p>\n Karl Darlow was the standout performer on the day<\/a>, with the rest of the backline and midfield looking solid before the unfortunate incident in stoppage time occurred.<\/p>\n That is not where the problem lies for Leeds; it is their forward line, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin among those whose performances were criticised<\/a>.<\/p>\n Those looking on from the outside may be curious as to why there was so much uproar at Elland Road<\/a> following Leeds\u2019 lack of transfer activity towards the backend of the window to strengthen the attack.<\/p>\n It was clear to every United supporter that Leeds did not have the quality in the forward areas to stay up, and the choice made by the 49ers<\/a> to not strengthen this area will ultimately come back to bite them.<\/p>\n The fact that Brenden Aaronson was deployed on the right wing against Fulham<\/a> showcases the lack of quality Leeds have in their ranks, whilst also showcasing Farke\u2019s inability to select the correct team.<\/p>\n Speaking after the game, Farke<\/a> made a chilling admission regarding his squad that is undoubtedly a sly dig at the recruitment team and the 49ers.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are fortunate to have a good group and top characters,\u201d he told reporters.<\/p>\n \u201cWe know we don\u2019t have the best individual quality, so we have to be fitter, tighter, we need to show fighting spirit and be a bit more effective because we don\u2019t have the individual quality like some other clubs.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have the players we have, so no complaints. We have to have this approach during the whole season. <\/p>\n \u201cNeed to keep the games tight.
