Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has hinted Benjamin Sesko could start against Manchester City<\/a>.<\/p>\n Sesko completed a \u20ac76.5million (\u00a366.4m), plus \u20ac8.5m (\u00a37.3m) in add-ons, move to Old Trafford<\/a> before the start of the Premier League<\/a> season.<\/p>\n Amorim decided to name Sesko on the bench for the opening league game against Arsenal, and the 22-year-old has made further substitute appearances against Fulham and Burnley.<\/p>\n Sesko was given his first start against Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup, but he has not started in the Premier League. Amorim was asked for his verdict on Sesko at his press conference on Friday afternoon and hinted the young striker could be given his first league start in the Manchester derby.<\/p>\n “I think what\u2019s more important than looking at exactly what he did during the games, is what he can bring to our team,” said Amorim of Sesko’s first few weeks at the club.<\/p>\n “If you see against Burnley, he had some movements \u2013 especially inside the box \u2013 that we don’t have with Josh (Zirkzee), or with (Matheus) Cunha, and even with Rasmus (Hojlund) in the past. We have a guy (in Sesko) who really likes to go inside the box to have a header.<\/p>\n “He can run \u2013 we need to use him more as a runner \u2013 and he\u2019s going to improve. So we need to get used to that. It feels like the pace is different and he is going to get used to that. But maybe against City, it is a good moment for him to start the game.”<\/p>\n Amorim has started Mason Mount down the middle in the Premier League this season, but Mount picked up an injury against Burnley and has been ruled out of the Manchester derby.<\/p>\n United won 2-1 at the Etihad last season thanks to Amad’s heroics in the game’s final minutes. “I don’t know,” said Amorim when asked whether the win backfired by raising expectations.<\/p>\n “It’s hard to point to a game last year that was a backfire. We had so many moments like that. We just focus on the future. We have four points. I think we should have more in this moment, but we need to be really competitive.<\/p>\n “It\u2019s a very important game for everybody here, but especially for our fans, so we will try to do our best.”<\/p>\n
