Coronation Street<\/a> star Vicky Myers<\/a> has been forced to pull out of the ITV<\/a> show’s live tour and shared her heart-breaking reason with fans on social media. The 49 year old actress who plays Lisa Swain explained that due to “unavoidable” last minute schedule changes, she is now unable to take part in An Audience with Coronation Street<\/a> in Glasgow.<\/p>\n In her post, Vicky said in her statement: “I’m so, so, sorry to miss the Glasgow show for An Audience with Coronation Street on 24th September. Due to unavoidable last-minute schedule changes, I won’t be able to be there.”<\/p>\n The soap star added: “Every possible scheduling option was explored, however it was just not possible I’m afraid. This was completely out of my control. In my place I am delighted that the legend and utterly gorgeous ‘Sunshine Sue Devaney’ will be joining the line-up instead – she is going to be amazing – she IS amazing!”<\/p>\n Vicky continued: “I know it’ll be an incredible evening celebrating 65 years of Corrie magic. I’ll be there in spirit. Sorry, Vicky.”<\/p>\n The official statement by the show read: “As we head towards the exciting An Audience With Coronation Street tour, we are sharing the news that due to unavoidable and complicated change in her filming schedule, Vicky is no longer able to join the Glasgow show on September 24th.”<\/p>\n It added: “Sue Devaney<\/a> will now step on stage in the place. Vicky is very sad that she’s unable to be there. Please note it’s important to understand that she had no prior knowledge or influence on her schedule.”<\/p>\n The tour is set to be hosted by TV expert Sharon Marshall who wrote: “We love you Vicky. And thank you, thank you, thank you Sunshine Sue.”<\/p>\n Fans from all over the world<\/a> including the Netherlands and Australia<\/a> were left devastated by the news.<\/p>\n One person said: “I’m so sad. It is gutting! You were definitely the reason to come to Glasgow from the Netherlands! I do realise this is not your choice, though! We’re gonna miss you!”<\/p>\n A fan from Australia said: “I feel your pain! I have come over from Australia and factored a lot of our travel plans around getting up to Glasgow on that date. Disappointed, but it can\u2019t be helped. I love Corrie, but Vicky was the real drawcard. I\u2019m sure it will still be a great night!”<\/p>\n Meanwhile a third person added: “Oh no, I understand but I’m absolutely gutted, especially after I upgraded to a VIP ticket the other day.”<\/p>\n And a fourth penned: “Aww I\u2019m so sad. You were the reason I got tickets. But I absolutely understand and it\u2019s not your fault. Hopefully see you one day.”<\/p>\n A fifth person said: “Testament to the person you are that this has affected you so deeply.”<\/p>\n The actress first appeared on the show as part of the acid attack storyline in 2021 and played DS Swain. Following her electric acting on the show, which attracted a hoard of fans, ITV bosses decided to make her a main character.<\/p>\n This is not the first popular TV show Vicky has appeared in. Back in 2016, she played a role in the Harlan Coben series The Five.
