{"id":422879,"date":"2025-09-14T05:08:14","date_gmt":"2025-09-14T05:08:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/422879\/"},"modified":"2025-09-14T05:08:14","modified_gmt":"2025-09-14T05:08:14","slug":"bear-breaks-into-northeastern-japan-nursing-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/422879\/","title":{"rendered":"Bear breaks into northeastern Japan nursing home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A bear entered a nursing home in northeastern Japan Saturday after breaking through a window.<\/p>\n<p>The animal fled without injuring residents or staff at the facility in Aizu Town, Fukushima Prefecture.<\/p>\n<p>Police say the one-meter-long bear entered right after being spotted by a staff member at about 6:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Staff members fled to a nearby room and called on the six residents of the home to lock their doors.<\/p>\n<p>When police arrived, the bear had gone, apparently having escaped by breaking through glass in the front door.<\/p>\n<p>Police are warning people in the area to be cautious of bears. The town has set off fireworks and placed traps in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Bear sightings have risen to a record in Fukushima Prefecture, prompting the prefectural government to issue a warning against Asian black bears for the Nakadori and Aizu regions on Thursday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A bear entered a nursing home in northeastern Japan Saturday after breaking through a window.
