Rangers boss Russell Martin <\/p>\n

Rangers chiefs have decided to stick by beleaguered boss Russell Martin<\/a> – despite another weekend of furious Ibrox protests.<\/p>\n

The beleaguered boss saw his side lose 2-0 to Hearts on Saturday, extending their nightmare start to the new Premiership season to five game without a win.<\/p>\n

That proved to be the final straw for thousands of supporters at Ibrox<\/a>, who loudly chanted for the former Southampton gaffer to go throughout the game.<\/p>\n

But despite having got off to the club’s worst start in 47 years, with Gers now perched TENTH in the table, Record Sport<\/strong> understands Ibrox boss Andrew Cavenagh<\/a> and Paraag Marthe are standing by the 39-year-old.<\/p>\n

Martin remains in post with the support of the club’s new American owners and will be in the dugout for next weekend’s Premier Sports Cup<\/a> quarter-final at home to Hibs.<\/p>\n

However, that is bound to cause further outrage amongst the Light Blue legions, who have given up on Martin.<\/p>\n

Rangers sporting director Kevin Thelwell, Rangers CEO Patrick Stewart, Rangers vice chairman Paraag Marathe and chairman Andrew Cavenagh <\/p>\n

He insisted he would not quit in the aftermath of that grim Jambos defeat when he was grilled by fan media representatives in the post match press conference.<\/p>\n

But the club’s own in-house fan advisory board have reiterated the calls they made for Martin to be sacked after last month’s record-equalling 6-0 Champions League<\/a> play-off loss to Club Brugge.<\/p>\n

Posting on x, the group said: “Our sentiments expressed previously hold more than ever.
