Just when many thought everything had been said about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry<\/a>, a close friend of The Duchess of Sussex\u2019s could be poised to release a tell-all book. A source has revealed that Jessica Mulroney, a Canadian stylist and one of Meghan\u2019s former best friends, could be putting pen to paper about the royal\u2019s fall from grace.<\/p>\n

Jessica was put through the wringer following a \u201cwhite-privilege\u201d scandal in 2020, where she was axed from TV gigs following her racially charged spat <\/a>with lifestyle blogger Sasha Exeter.<\/p>\n

She issued an apology at the time, while her then-husband Ben quit his job as a television presenter to help her with the rampant online \u2014 and professional \u2014 backlash, which led to a very public souring of her friendship with Meghan Markle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jessica archived her Instagram<\/a> page at the time, and when she reinstated the page, a picture she had posted with Meghan had been removed. Now, a publishing insider says: “Jessica’s explosive story is the one publishers want to get their hands on. She could command up to a seven-figure dollar sum depending on what she is prepared to say.<\/p>\n

“There’s huge interest in Jessica’s perspective and her time in the royal spotlight when friends with Meghan. People would rush to buy Jessica’s book to know what really happened between them. Hers is the real story royal watchers want to read and are asking for.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two women had been best friends for years after meeting in Canada, where Jessica, 45, had introduced Meghan \u2013 who was then based in Toronto while filming Suits \u2013 to the city\u2019s glittering social scene.<\/p>\n

They remained close during the early stages of her relationship with her future husband, and Jessica\u2019s children – twins Brian and John and daughter Ivy \u2013 even served as page boys and bridesmaid at Meghan and Harry\u2019s royal wedding in 2018.<\/p>\n

However, two years later, the pair went their separate ways as sources claimed at the time Meghan, 44, had ended the friendship due to the drama surrounding Jessica.<\/a><\/p>\n

Until now, Jessica has maintained a diplomatic silence, failing to speak out on the notable silence from her once best friend she considered to have been like family – Meghan.<\/p>\n

But if Jessica now chooses to tell her side of the story, it could entail opening up on her friendship with the royal,\u201d says the source. \u201cJessica was let down and hurt by these false accusations swirling around her. \u201cIf she goes ahead with a book deal, Jessica would finally be able to explain what really took place at that time and correct all the false narratives that have been spun around her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Back when the scandal broke, it was reported that Meghan reacted with shock after hearing of Jessica\u2019s \u201ctone deaf\u201d threats to sue Exeter, and swiftly decided she can \u201cno longer be associated with her\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeghan is absolutely mortified that she\u2019s been dragged into this complete mess. She said Jessica is in no way a racist, but the way she handled the situation was tone deaf and heartbreaking,\u201d a friend of Meghan\u2019s alleged at the time.<\/p>\n
