Birmingham has welcomed a new green commercial development with the unveiling of 19 Cornwall Street, a net-zero-carbon office building in the city\u2019s business district.<\/p>\n
Spanning 139,000\u202fsq\u202fft, the building boasts a NABERS 5\u2011Star Design Reviewed Target Rating and aims for both BREEAM\u202fExcellent and WELL\u202fGold certifications.<\/p>\n
This all-electric building eliminates on-site fossil fuels, employing integrated solar panels and a high-performance fa\u00e7ade to reduce energy demand.<\/p>\n
Its design includes smart energy and air-quality monitoring systems, natural ventilation via openable windows and an atrium, biophilic features for improved indoor air, and facilities for sustainable commuting like cycle storage and showers.<\/p>\n
