The latest images of former head coach Marcelo Bielsa have put a sub-section of Leeds United fans in a nostalgic mood following their defeat against Fulham. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Although Leeds have accumulated four points from their opening four games under Daniel Farke<\/a>; the style of football could not be more different from when Leeds last returned to the Premier League<\/a>. <\/p>\n

At the same stage of the 2020\/21 season under Marcelo Bielsa<\/a>, Leeds had already won seven points, scoring 10 goals in the process, as they returned to the top flight with a bang. <\/p>\n

Bielsa remains a firm favourite among the Leeds fanbase, with a sizeable minority still yearning for him to return to Elland Road<\/a> after his departure in 2022. <\/p>\n

With Leeds struggling for goals<\/a> at the start of the current season, Leeds fans have taken to social media to show their appreciation for the legendary Argentinian after he was pictured in an unusual location in his role as Uruguay manager. <\/p>\n

Following his departure from Leeds in 2022, Bielsa became the manager of the Uruguay national team and has successfully steered them to qualification for the next World Cup. <\/p>\n

Bielsa is known for his devotion to analysis and was spotted on a scouting trip as Liverpool played Penarol in the Uruguayan Primera Division. However, Bielsa did not watch the game from the Directors\u2019 Box, preferring to perch on a wall in the stands instead. <\/p>\n

This prompted a devoted reaction from the Leeds fanbase, who still hold Bielsa in great affection. One fan wrote: \u201cI remember seeing those images of him at some of the youth teams when the international break was on Leeds. All you can do is admire and respect it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another fan commented on his devotion to the sport, stating: \u201cThere is not one person on this planet who loves football as much as Bielsa does.\u201d<\/p>\n

The images reminded one Leeds fan how much he misses their former boss, as they posted: \u201cMiss this man so much. The style of football, the press conferences and the admiration & respect he had for every Leeds fan.\u201d<\/p>\n

Several Leeds fans took the chance to call for Bielsa to return to Elland Road, as one fan said: \u201cMiss him so much, Bielsa Forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another fan called for the Leeds owners to \u201cgrovel\u201d to bring him back to West Yorkshire, stating: \u201cThese losers should go back, hat in hand, and grovel to get him back to work for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whereas one hopeless romantic compared the former Leeds boss to an ex-partner they just cannot leave behind, stating: \u201cHe is like an ex you can never get over\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke needs to find some of Bielsa\u2019s attacking spark<\/p>\n

While few Leeds fans expected Farke\u2019s side to storm the top flight in the way that Bielsa\u2019s side did, their lack of cutting edge is becoming increasingly concerning.<\/p>\n

Leeds scored 77 goals in their promotion season from the Championship<\/a> under the Argentinian, winning 93 points. This is some way behind the 95 goals scored and 100 points won by Farke\u2019s promotion-winning side. <\/p>\n

Although Bielsa\u2019s side was not studded with stars, he found a way to raise the level of the majority of his squad. Patrick Bamford<\/a> is the perfect example of this, as he scored 17 goals in a brilliant personal season. <\/p>\n

Farke has said that he is looking forward to improving the likes of Dan James, Brenden Aaronson and Jack Harrison<\/a>, who have all struggled to add end product to Leeds\u2019 game so far. <\/p>\n

The current Leeds boss is right to do things his way. However, if he is to learn one lesson from his predecessor, it is that newly-promoted sides can afford to take the handbrake off at times. Leeds should bear this in mind when they face Wolves in their next fixture. <\/p>\n
