After an explosive first week for the offense, the Atlanta Falcons<\/a> have gotten off to a much slower start contending against the Minnesota Vikings<\/a> and an excellent Brian Flores defense. Tallying nine points on three field goals in the first half, it\u2019s the running game, led by Bijan Robinson<\/a>, that has paved the way for the Falcons to enter half time with a lead.<\/p>\n

The passing game, on the other hand, has been virtually non-existent. Through two quarters, Michael Penix Jr.<\/a> has completed just seven of his 13 passes for 76 yards through the air. That has reflected in the statistics for his wide receivers as well, most notably with superstar pass catcher Drake London<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What Happened To Drake London?<\/p>\n

The first game of the season for Atlanta went down to the wire, with an explosive touchdown pass to Emeka Egbuka<\/a> securing the win for the Baker Mayfield<\/a>-led Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, near the end of the game, London was taken out of the game after a hard awkward landing on his shoulder. By Friday, though, he was cleared of any injury designations from the shoulder sprain.<\/p>\n

However, his performance on Sunday Night has brought that diagnosis into concern. Tallying just one reception worth 18 yards, London had been a virtual non-factor in the game, until a brutal fumble<\/a> paved the way for the Vikings to record their first points of the night.<\/p>\n

Coming off a 1,271-yard season where he firmly took over the WR1 role for the Falcons, his 2025 campaign has gotten off to a slow start. His numbers didn\u2019t take a jump in the third quarter either, with the focus of Atlanta\u2019s attack primarily on the ground game.<\/p>\n

Despite extending their lead to 12-6, London continues to have a quiet night.\u00a0If the Falcons want to keep their hopes of a potential playoff berth alive, his performance needs to take a sharp turn in the other direction.<\/p>\n
