The monarch has vowed to continue his full on schedule by \u201cjust getting on with the job\u201d, as he prepares to land in Rome tomorrow for the start of a four day tour of Italy alongside the Queen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">As reported by <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/news\/royals\/king-charles-vows-put-duty-35004023\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"the MirrorLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">the Mirror<\/a>, royal sources have told how the King is \u201cin great form and completely unfazed\u201d by his recent admission to hospital, which came following temporary side effects from his ongoing cancer treatment. The 76-year-old has been undergoing weekly treatment at a London cancer unit since his diagnosis last February. He has continued, however, to arrange appointments around his busy diary.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">At the end of last month <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/king-charles-iii\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"the KingLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">the King<\/a> was forced to spend several hours under observation after suffering an adverse reaction to his treatment. However, Palace aides suggested the issue, which was not detailed, was \u201cnot uncommon with many medical treatments\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/king-charles-iii\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"The KingLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">The King<\/a> did cancel a day and a half of engagements, however, including an away day in Birmingham on March 23, before being advised to clock off for a weekend to recover. Everyone has seen in recent days that he is in great form and completely unfazed by his recent setback, if anything both His Majesty and the Queen are even more excited to be getting on the road again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">This year, the King has maintained an extraordinary schedule, leading the royal family in engagements throughout the first three months. The couple hosted a dinner reception at Highgrove to highlight Anglo-Italian relations in the lead up to the tour which, according to sources, they \u201cloved\u201d. One said: \u201cit really did whet the appetite. Charles will also meet Italy&#8217;s president, Sergio Mattarella, and the prime minister, Giorgia Meloni, as well as becoming the first British monarch to address a joint session of Italy&#8217;s parliament.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Following the high of successfully completing a tour of Australia and Samoa last October, palace officials said the King was committed to a full schedule for 2025.
