{"id":425629,"date":"2025-09-15T06:49:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-15T06:49:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/425629\/"},"modified":"2025-09-15T06:49:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-15T06:49:10","slug":"first-look-at-the-new-bolt-sculpture-in-omega-in-warrington","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/425629\/","title":{"rendered":"First look at the new Bolt sculpture in Omega in Warrington"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Work began on the new iconic structure earlier this year and the Bolt was installed on Saturday.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The &#8216;Bolt of Lightning&#8217; landmark has been described as &#8216;highly visible&#8217; from the M62 and is housed on a roundabout at Omega &#8211; close to The Hut Group.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Designed by Peter Naylor and forming part of street art commissioned by Miller Developments Ltd, led by Colin Graham, developers say it will be &#8216;a very significant landmark&#8217;.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>(Image: NQ)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  It is designed as a permanent memorial to all the men and women, military and civilian, British and American, who served at RAF Burtonwood.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  It was fabricated in Hull with parts from Germany and is over 20 metres high and weighs more than 12 tons\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Work started on site on April 14 with an official opening set to take place soon.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>(Image: NQ)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Work began on the new iconic structure earlier this year and the Bolt was installed on Saturday.
