Alexander Isak\u2019s arrival at Liverpool could spell the end of Federico Chiesa\u2019s time at the club as soon as January, sources have told Football Insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n Chiesa<\/a> was linked with moves away from Anfield over the summer after playing a limited role in the Reds\u2019 Premier League title win last season, and he may regret his decision to stay at Liverpool<\/a> in the long-term.<\/p>\n As I revealed on the latest edition of\u00a0Football Insider\u2019s Inside Track podcast<\/a><\/strong>, Chiesa is on the shortlists of several clubs heading into the January transfer window, which could see Liverpool choose to cash in.<\/p>\n Arne Slot left Chiesa out of his Champions League squad<\/a> for the season ahead with the 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha<\/a> preferred to the Italian, and Isak\u2019s huge transfer pushes him further down the pecking order.<\/p>\n Slot closed the door on a summer exit for Chiesa<\/a>, and my sources have said that the Liverpool boss is planning to give the 27-year-old a big chunk of game-time during Mohamed Salah<\/a>\u2018s absence in January.<\/p>\n Salah leaves for the Africa Cup of Nations at the turn of the year and will leave a void to fill on the Reds\u2019 right flank, and sources have told Football Insider<\/strong> that this will see Chiesa be given plenty of minutes.<\/p>\n My Football Insider <\/strong>sources have stated that Chiesa could still look to leave Liverpool<\/a> in the January window though, with a view on returning to the fold to be a starter for Italy<\/a> at next summer\u2019s World Cup.<\/p>\n MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n Liverpool exit likely for Federico Chiesa after Arne Slot decision<\/strong><\/p>\n Liverpool fans expressed their sympathy for Chiesa<\/a> after he was left out of Slot<\/a>\u2018s Champions League squad, and that decision still leaves the writing on the wall for the Italy winger ahead of the next window.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s a number of clubs that will be monitoring Chiesa\u2019s situation at Liverpool\u201d, I revealed on Football Insider<\/strong>\u2018s new Inside Track Podcast<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cLet\u2019s see what happens to him now the Alexander Isak deal has gone through \u2013\u00a0that\u2019s another striking option for Arne Slot. <\/p>\n \u201cWill that push Chiesa even further down the pecking order?
