I <a href=\"https:\/\/www.refinery29.com\/en-gb\/do-you-need-10000-steps-myth\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">track my steps<\/a>, calories burned, sleep quality, period, and ovulation. I track my runs on Strava and my heart rate, blood oxygen and performance zones. I sometimes track my food, my protein goals, and how much water I\u2019ve drunk in a day. I source the majority of my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.refinery29.com\/en-us\/apple-watch-series-7-review\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">health metrics from my Apple Watch<\/a> but I am saving up for an Oura Ring (round-the-clock insights in jewellery form? Yes, please) and I\u2019m more than due to try a glucose tracker. Frankly, I don\u2019t need to worry about artificial intelligence taking over the human race because I AM ROBOT. To be clear, I have no negative associations with all my tracking \u2014 I genuinely find it fun and empowering \u2014 but to the ears of my loved ones, it all sounds \u201ca bit much.\u201d Or as my friend described it, \u201cliving life inside an Excel spreadsheet\u201d. While tracking my health data has become embedded into my everyday life, it\u2019s suggested that it could lead to health anxiety over time.
