Much has been made of Sony\u2019s approach to single player games this generation, but the reality is it still very much remains at the forefront of great solo software.<\/p>\n

Last year it released the runaway Game of the Year<\/strong><\/a> winner in Astro Bot<\/a>, and just next month it\u2019ll deploy Ghost of Yotei<\/a>. That\u2019s not to mention all of the other awesome titles that have deployed this generation: Marvel\u2019s Spider-Man 2<\/a>, God of War Ragnarok<\/a>, Death Stranding 2<\/a>, et al.<\/p>\n

In a Corporate Report<\/a>, the company highlighted its goal within its first-party studio business to advance its position as \u201ccreative leaders in single player experiences\u201d.<\/p>\n

It does, of course, go on to mention that it also aims to broaden its business model through the \u201cdiversification of live service offerings\u201d \u2013 but the manufacturer clearly still believes it can have success in both categories.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s good to see the company single out single player experiences like this; last year\u2019s document didn\u2019t specifically mention solo campaigns<\/a>, for example.<\/p>\n

With the likes of Marvel\u2019s Wolverine<\/a>, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet<\/a>, and Saros<\/a> all on the way, it should be a fruitful few years for fans of Sony\u2019s single player games.<\/p>\n
