{"id":426201,"date":"2025-09-15T12:02:12","date_gmt":"2025-09-15T12:02:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/426201\/"},"modified":"2025-09-15T12:02:12","modified_gmt":"2025-09-15T12:02:12","slug":"tsb-banks-historic-b-listed-headquarters-put-on-sale-for-18-5m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/426201\/","title":{"rendered":"TSB Bank&#8217;s historic B-listed headquarters put on sale for \u00a318.5m"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  The Scottish bank is currently based out of Henry Duncan House, at 120 George Street in Edinburgh, which is listed by Historic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenational.scot\/topics\/environment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Environment<\/a> Scotland as a \u201chigh quality building which fits well into the streetscape despite the richness of its detailing\u201d.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The sale of the headquarters comes just weeks after Spanish bank Santander confirmed a \u00a32.65 billion cash deal to take over TSB Bank.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In August, shareholders of another Spanish banking group, Sabadell, voted to approve the sale, with the acquisition of TSB expected to be completed during the first three months of 2026.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Santander has said that it intends to \u201cintegrate TSB in the Santander UK group, enabling it to become the third largest bank in the country by personal current account balances\u201d.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>Google Maps image of the front of the TSB Bank headquarters on George Street(Image: Google Maps)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  CBRE, the commercial real estate firm, has listed the TSB headquarters on its website, saying: \u201cSituated behind a traditional fa\u00e7ade, the office space is spread over the lower ground to 4th floors around a central and impressive atrium which also at ground level provides communal break out, meeting and caf\u00e9 space.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cGlazed lifts provide access to all floors.
