\n Cue Corner, which is based in Clevedon but serves customers in Bristol, Weston-super-Mare and the wider region, turned one year old on September 1 this year. \u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n Started by cue sports enthusiasts Lee Kerslake and Brad Kemp, the business began as an idea formed when the pair were competing at the WPA world championship in pool. \u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n Already the go-to people for advice on buying pool and snooker\u00a0cues, Lee and Brad decided to start selling them themselves.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe bought around thirty cues and thought they would take months to sell,\u201d said Lee. \u201cBut they sold out in weeks. The pool community is huge in the area.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n Since then, the business has struggled to keep pace with orders as word spread among players across the region. \u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n The company now describes itself as one of the UK\u2019s fastest-growing cue sports suppliers.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n Alongside online sales, the business has developed a strong presence at presentation evenings and tournaments, running popular \u201cpop-up\u201d cue sports events. Much of its trade remains mobile and online, but the team is already considering the next step.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe\u2019d love to open a physical store,\u201d Lee explained. \u201cWeston is a strong possibility, though Bristol is also on the radar. We want to keep it local.\u201d \u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n In the meantime, their products are available through displays in partner stores around the area.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n Now, they\u2019ve moved beyond reselling and are designing and making their own cues. The goal, Lee said, is simple: to provide high-quality equipment at affordable prices. \u201cWe\u2019re players before we\u2019re businesspeople,\u201d he added.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
