In his controversial memoir Spare, Prince Harry alleged that his brother, Prince William<\/a>, physically attacked him in a fight.<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex\u2019s book was released in January 2023. It contained many allegations about the royal family<\/a> as the prince told his experience of growing up in the monarchy.<\/p>\n

According to Prince Harry<\/a>, who turns 41 on September 15, he and his brother got into a disagreement over his wife, Meghan Markle.<\/p>\n

\nDid Prince Harry and William have a fight?<\/p>\n

Writing in his memoir Spare, Prince Harry alleged that an\u00a0argument between him and William over the Duchess of Sussex broke out in 2019.<\/p>\n

The confrontation reportedly took place at Harry\u2019s Nottingham Cottage home in London.<\/p>\n

Harry said that William called Meghan<\/a> \u201cdifficult\u201d, \u201crude\u201d and \u201cabrasive\u201d.<\/p>\n

From there, Harry claimed that things escalated and William was \u201cnot being rational\u201d.<\/p>\n

As tensions began to rise, Harry claimed that William became angered and stepped towards him, swearing.<\/p>\n

As Harry moved into the kitchen and offered his brother a glass of water, he claimed that\u2019s when the alleged incident took place.<\/p>\n

Harry wrote: \u201cHe set down the water, called me another name, then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI landed on the dog\u2019s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry claimed that William urged him to hit back, which he refused to do. The future king then left, \u201clooking regretful, and apologised\u201d, according to Harry.<\/p>\n

Harry said that William turned back and told him he didn\u2019t \u201cneed to tell Meg about this\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex explained that he didn\u2019t tell Meghan straight away, instead calling his therapist.<\/p>\n

However,\u00a0he later told Meghan about the incident after she noticed \u201cscrapes and bruises\u201d on his back.<\/p>\n

At the time, Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace didn\u2019t comment on the claims. Royal Insider has since contacted reps for the Prince of Wales for comment.<\/p>\n

\nHarry\u2019s relationship with William now<\/p>\n

Harry\u2019s relationship with his brother<\/a> has become more strained over the years. During Harry\u2019s visit to the UK last week, he met up with his father, King Charles, at Clarence House. However, it\u2019s believed there was no meeting between Harry and William.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview with The Guardian<\/a>, Harry defended his memoir, Spare.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI know that [speaking out] annoys some people and it goes against the narrative. The book? It was a series of corrections to stories already out there. One point of view had been put out and it needed to be corrected.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
