And in their place, posters containing the Union flag but with <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/news\/bristol-news\/heated-scenes-south-bristol-street-10493060\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"messages of welcome were pinned to lamppostsLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">messages of welcome were pinned to lampposts<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">On Luckwell Road in Bedminster, one variant of the poster said: \u201cWe celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures, backgrounds and stories that make us who we are,\u201d in a statement beneath a Union flag.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">\u201cWhether you\u2019ve lived here for generations or have arrived seeking safety and new beginnings, you\u2019re welcome.
