First Bus have cancelled 16 different bus routes completely and will operate a reduced service on another 18 as they grapple with a strike involving 600 bus drivers<\/a> from its two main bus depots in Bristol.<\/p>\n Some of the major bus routes from all four corners of Bristol will be badly affected by the strike action<\/a>, with services cut to every half an hour or every hour in places, and almost half the routes in the city won\u2019t run at all.<\/p>\n Talks between drivers\u2019 union Unite and First Bus bosses to avert the strike broke down by Monday lunchtime<\/a> and First have now published their aspiration for the level of services they believe they will be able to provide with picket lines outside two depots at Lawrence Hill and Hengrove<\/a>.<\/p>\n All of First\u2019s bus services that are based at the Bus and Coach Station in Marlborough Street are running normally – drivers there voted to accept a revised pay offer late last week. But the CityLines services out of Lawrence Hill and Hengrove will be severely reduced or cancelled altogether.<\/p>\n The A1 Airport Flyer service from the bus station and Temple Meads to Bristol Airport<\/a> will be reduced to running every half an hour, as will many of the cross-city routes that run from north Bristol into South Bristol.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Bus strike to bring ‘Bristol to a standstill’ – updates<\/a>READ MORE: Bristol bus strike latest – everything we know as First Bus drivers set to ‘bring city to a standstill’<\/a><\/p>\n First said Metrobus services will be operating as normal, as will buses out of the Bus Station to towns outside Bristol like Portishead<\/a>, Clevedon, Weston, Yate<\/a> and Thornbury<\/a>.<\/p>\n It will be community bus services linking different parts of Bristol that will be reduced or not run at all. The full list is as follows, below.<\/p>\n Routes running as normal<\/p>\n Buses on Bath<\/a> services 1, 2, 3, 4, 5\/5a, 6\/6a, 7, 8, 13, 19 (to and from Bristol Parkway), 20, 21, 31, 39\/X39 (to and from Bristol), 41, 58, D1\/D1x, D2\/D2x, OS1, U1\/U1N, U2, U3, U4 and U5 will run as normal.<\/p>\n
