{"id":426884,"date":"2025-09-15T18:18:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-15T18:18:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/426884\/"},"modified":"2025-09-15T18:18:13","modified_gmt":"2025-09-15T18:18:13","slug":"glasgow-man-charged-after-emergency-worker-attacked-at-tommy-robinson-rally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/426884\/","title":{"rendered":"Glasgow man charged after\u00a0emergency worker &#8216;attacked&#8217; at Tommy Robinson rally"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A Scottish man is one of eight charged after disorder broke out during protests in central London at the weekend.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Between 110,000 and 150,000 people turned out for right-wing activist Tommy Robinson\u2019s Unite the Kingdom rally on Saturday, with around 5,000 involved in an anti-racism counter-demonstration.<\/p>\n<p>The Metropolitan Police said there were several incidents of violent disorder, the majority of which were linked to the Unite the Kingdom event.<\/p>\n<p>Eight people are facing charges, including assault and public order offences.<\/p>\n<p>Three men appeared in court on Monday, including Richard Hamilton, 42, of Braeside Place in Glasgow.<\/p>\n<p>He was charged with assault on an emergency worker and was remanded in custody at Westminster Magistrates\u2019 Court.<\/p>\n<p>The Met has also issued photos of 11 people who officers are trying to trace in relation to the disorder.<\/p>\n<p>Officers want to speak to them in relation to a range of public order offences and assaults on emergency services workers, the force said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Do you recognise these people?
