Households will want to hold off putting their sunglasses and summer hats away as boiling conditions are set to return in just a matter of days.<\/p>\n

A late September heatwave could be on the cards, with WXCHARTS weather <\/a>maps turning a deep red, indicating scorching temperatures, reports Express.co.uk.<\/a><\/p>\n

In a dramatic turn from the recent wet and cloudy weather<\/a>, households will soon be sunning themselves in balmy 26C as a Caribbean jet stream smashes into the country.<\/p>\n

There appears to be a north and south divide, with southern England and the Midlands set to bake in the warmest weather<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Those in certain places can anticipate the hot weather <\/a>boiling certain areas for the entire day.<\/p>\n

Hot weather <\/a>will hit the UK on Thursday, September 18, with the mercury reaching into the mid-20s for Surrey, Kent, Essex, and London at 9 pm in what looks set to be a warm, uncomfortable night.<\/p>\n

By midday on Friday, September 20, the heat will already be 25C in the south east, whilst Suffolk and Norfolk will follow closely behind with 24C, according to weather maps.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, London and Surrey, as well as the East and West Midlands, will see temperatures hit 22C.<\/p>\n

Fast-forward three hours to 3pm, and large swathes of southern England will be blanketed by a wall of 25C-26C heat.<\/p>\n

London, the south east and Anglia will all hit 26C. Meanwhile, the east and west midlands will bask in balmy 25C conditions.<\/p>\n

Key cities in the south west including Bristol and Bath are likely to see the mercury hit 23C.<\/p>\n

Parts of Yorkshire and the Humber could also record temperatures of around 22C.<\/p>\n

The balmy 26C conditions will still be hanging around at 6pm with southern England to bask under the warmest weather.<\/p>\n

However, the Scottish Highlands will only see temperatures hit 12C whilst the north west will only see high’s of 14C.<\/p>\n

Separately, in the Met Office’s weather outlook, the forecaster is warning that there will be “blustery showers and longer spells of rain” on Thursday and Friday.<\/p>\n
