Chris Sutton believes that Manchester United<\/a> director of football Jason Wilcox<\/a> has a big decision to make about the future of Ruben Amorim<\/a>.<\/p>\n

United have won just one of their first five matches this season, and sit 14th in the Premier League<\/a> table, just one point above the relegation zone. However, the performances have increasingly come in for criticism.<\/p>\n

Initial impressions were particularly positive – despite defeat to Arsenal<\/a> at Old Trafford<\/a> on the opening weekend. However, that feeling has changed over the last few weeks, especially after losing the Manchester derby<\/a> against Manchester City<\/a> on Sunday, which Sutton reacted to just over 24 hours on\/<\/p>\n

“I think Manchester United have got real issues now,” he said on BBC Five Live’s Monday Night Club. “How long has he been in charge? Is it his team now? Yes, it is. Is it working?<\/p>\n

“If he is going to be that stubborn and be unwilling to change… If he is going to stick with this system and it is not working, then I am afraid Jason Wilcox and the Man Utd hierarchy have a decision to make based on performances we have seen this season.<\/p>\n

“What is the ambition of Man Utd this season? I don’t really know, but the fact that they are already out of one cup and there’s no European football… The pressure is well and truly on.<\/p>\n

“You can say; ‘Well the performance first game against Arsenal was pretty good’. We can all agree with that.<\/p>\n

“Since then, they have been pretty average performances, so then if he is going to stick with this system – I know he’s had a transfer window and [Matheus] Cunha is out injured.<\/p>\n

“It’s his team now, and it’s not working. The fact that it is not working, it’s a big problem, and it doesn’t look like he is going to change. He’s not going to do that – by the sounds of it [change things].”<\/p>\n
