A hooded Birmingham man who fired shots at a residential property in the West Midlands faces time behind bars for his “dangerous” actions.<\/p>\n

Asaan Hussain, 30, was caught on CCTV firing two shots at a living room and bedroom of a house in Oldbury on February 17 2025.<\/p>\n

His shocking “planned attack” was assisted by Sima Khan, 31, also from Birmingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The pair were convicted following a trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court and will be sentenced on October 31.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police<\/a> said on September 15 that it was “miraculous” that nobody was injured in the coordinated attack.<\/p>\n

The force said on Monday that both Hussain and Khan face jail for their actions.<\/p>\n

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “In the early hours of 17 February, a black Hyundai drove on Vicarage Street multiple times before coming to a stop outside an address.<\/p>\n

“The driver then exited the vehicle and fired a shotgun twice at the living room and bedroom windows of the property.<\/p>\n

“Thankfully, no one was injured. The black vehicle then fled from the scene.<\/p>\n

“We conducted quick time CCTV enquiries and identified Asaan Hussain, aged 30 as the shooter.”<\/p>\n

Referring to the shocking footage, the force explained: “CCTV footage shows on 13 February Hussain parked the stolen Hyundai near Vicarage Street and drove around the area.<\/p>\n

“Shortly before the shooting, Hussain got a taxi to Vicarage Street, before driving the Hyundai and firing a shotgun at the address.<\/p>\n

“He then met Sima Khan near Sandwell<\/a> Valley Country Park, and they fled to Wales.<\/p>\n

“Following further enquiries we then arrested Khan and Hussain at their home addresses in the West Midlands.<\/p>\n

“During a search of Khan\u2019s address, we found a self-loading pistol with live ammunition hidden in a handbag underneath her bed.<\/p>\n

“Although forensic examination showed the gun recovered was not used in the shooting, Khan of Navigation Road, Birmingham, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and possession of a firearm and was consequently charged.<\/p>\n

“Hussain of Edgbaston<\/a> Road, Birmingham was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.<\/p>\n

“They both denied the offences at an earlier hearing but were found guilty following a trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court.<\/p>\n

“They are due to be sentenced on 31 October.”<\/p>\n

Detective Sergeant Lucy Mooney from West Midlands Police’s Major Crime Unit said: \u201cIt\u2019s miraculous no one was injured as a result of the dangerous actions of Hussain.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was a planned attack. Hussain had set up his mode of transport away from the scene and surveyed the area before firing the shotgun.<\/p>\n

\u201cKhan helped Hussain after the shooting and was even found in possession of an unrelated gun.<\/p>\n
