{"id":428109,"date":"2025-09-16T05:35:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T05:35:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/428109\/"},"modified":"2025-09-16T05:35:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T05:35:10","slug":"donald-trump-says-he-is-bringing-15bn-lawsuit-against-new-york-times-donald-trump","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/428109\/","title":{"rendered":"Donald Trump says he is bringing $15bn lawsuit against New York Times | Donald Trump"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Donald Trump says he has brought a $15bn lawsuit against the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/media\/new-york-times\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Times<\/a>, alleging defamation and libel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">In a social media post late on Monday, the US president accused the newspaper of a \u201cdecades long method of lying about your Favorite President (ME!), my family, business, the America First Movement, MAGA, and our Nation as a whole\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">The president singled out the New York Times endorsement of Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election and said the paper had become a \u201cvirtual \u2018mouthpiece\u2019 for the Radical Left Democrat Party.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">The lawsuit was being brought in Florida, he said, without providing further details.
