Carla Connor<\/a> (Alison King<\/a>) has been handling the issue of her current fianc\u00e9\u2019s supposedly dead ex-wife exploding into their lives better than anyone could have expected in Coronation Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n So, it is only fair that we allow her the grace of lashing out next week.<\/p>\n Things haven\u2019t exactly been easy for the factory boss since falling in love with best friend Lisa Swain<\/a> (Vicky Myers) last year, and it has been a difficult journey to get where they are now \u2013 engaged, living together and finally happy. <\/p>\n But of course, this is soap, so it was only a matter of time before ghosts of the past came along<\/a> to mess everything up \u2013 quite literally in this case.<\/p>\n Having already survived two kidnappings, a head injury, sepsis and a kidney transplant, Carla and Lisa\u2019s relationship faced another test last week with the arrival of Becky Swain<\/a> (Amy Cudden).<\/p>\n So far, Carla has handled things well, and has been a strong support for Lisa as she navigates the bombshell that Becky has been alive all this time<\/a>.<\/p>\n \t\t However, tensions began to shine through when Carla admitted to telling Kit Green<\/a> (Jacob Roberts<\/a>) that Becky was still alive.<\/p>\n Lisa was initially concerned about the secret getting out, but she understood when Carla explained that she needed someone to talk to, and it had been clear that Kit was concerned about what had been going on between Lisa and DI Costello (Daon Bruni).<\/p>\n Lisa even defended Carla when Becky snapped at her, putting on a united front.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, it has also become clear that Carla and Lisa don\u2019t agree on what\u2019s best for Betsy<\/a>, with Lisa refusing to budge on her position that she be kept in the dark, despite Carla\u2019s protests later this week.<\/p>\n \t\t However, it would appear that Carla ultimately wins this battle, with a clued-in Betsy set to orchestrate Lisa and Becky spending time together next week.<\/p>\n When Becky reveals that she is renting<\/a> a flat nearby, Betsy suggests that Lisa help her move her belongings, and Lisa finds herself unable to get out of it.<\/p>\n Things only get more awkward when Lisa\u2019s car runs out of fuel, leaving them stuck in a confined space together, with Becky keen to discuss Carla.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Carla confides in Ryan Connor<\/a> (Ryan Prescott<\/a>) that she trusts Lisa implicitly, though her confidence falters when Ryan wonders aloud if she can trust Becky to the same extent.<\/p>\n \t\t Later in the week, Becky attempts to make up for lost time with Betsy, but as she asks her questions about the last four years, Betsy grows tearful and hurries off.<\/p>\n When Becky calls Carla, she finds herself unable to hold her tongue and asserts that it would be better for everyone if Becky went back to playing dead.<\/p>\n Ouch!<\/p>\n How will Becky react to Carla\u2019s blunt response?
