It will be a another wet day in Merseyside<\/p>\n

The Met Office has predicted the weather will be “changeable” in Liverpool today. After being battered by wind and rain on Monday, September 15, forecasters said there is a chance of rain in the morning on Tuesday, September 16 before sunny intervals at lunchtime.<\/a><\/p>\n

The chance of rain is predicted between 9am and 11am, before clearing at midday. BBC<\/a> Weather<\/a> has also predicted a similar forecast for Merseyside. It said: “This morning and early afternoon will be mostly cloudy with showers. Later in the afternoon, the showers will ease and sunny spells will develop. It will be breezy but the winds will ease later.”<\/p>\n

However, by night time, things are set to look more gloomy, with clouds building which is set to be followed by spells of rain. These are predicted to be heavy through the early hours and winds are also set to pick up towards the end of the night.<\/a><\/p>\n

For its North West forecast, the Met Office said: “Wednesday: Heavy, persistent rain clearing eastwards through the morning, with bright or sunny spells developing through the afternoon. Feeling rather humid but staying breezy. Maximum temperature 21C.<\/p>\n

“Outlook for Thursday to Saturday: Remaining changeable with showers or longer spells of rain at times. Some brighter periods are also likely, though often breezy. Temperatures fairly close to the seasonal average.”<\/p>\n

A yellow weather warning covering Merseyside for wind was in place from 8pm on Sunday, September 14 and until 6pm on Monday, September 15.<\/a><\/p>\n

Forecasters said strong and gusty winds was likely to cause some disruption to travel and interruptions to power. In Merseyside<\/a>, winds peaked at around 51mph and rain was also predicted for most of the day.<\/p>\n

The coming week will bring \u201cchangeable\u201d conditions with periods of wind and rain throughout.<\/p>\n

Met Office meteorologist Tom Morgan said: \u201cThe ground has started to become fairly wet over recent weeks and it will not take a huge amount more for there to be some surface water, potentially some flooding issues as we go towards the middle part of the week.\u201d<\/p>\n
