We\u2019re happiest when dipping in and out of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveller.com\/gallery\/things-to-do-in-madrid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Madrid<\/a>\u2019s world-class galleries, ambling along <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveller.com\/article\/best-things-to-do-in-budapest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Budapest<\/a>\u2019s riverside and sampling the wares of Bruges\u2019 chocolate shops \u2013 and that\u2019s just us getting started.<\/p>\n<p>While you\u2019ll find most of us taking to the streets \u2013 via bakeries, bars and attractions, of course \u2013 on foot, putting our favourite pair of worn-out trainers to good use.<\/p>\n<p>However, there\u2019s another way to explore <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveller.com\/gallery\/best-cities-in-europe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Europe\u2019s best cities<\/a> that showcases the sights in a completely different light \u2013 on two wheels! However, it does come fourth thanks to an extensive network of cycling paths, parks and canalside routes \u2013 more than 400km of them wind through the city.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cntraveller.com\/gallery\/paris-hotels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paris<\/a> is the most bicycle-friendly city on the continent.
