{"id":429251,"date":"2025-09-16T16:00:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T16:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/429251\/"},"modified":"2025-09-16T16:00:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T16:00:10","slug":"barrhead-action-group-gets-cash-to-improve-community-hub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/429251\/","title":{"rendered":"Barrhead action group gets cash to improve community hub"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Dunterlie Action Group (DAG) held the event this month which also highlighted a year of progress and achievement, and the growth of local groups.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Earlier this year DAG hosted a Scottish Parliament\u2019s 25th anniversary community celebration event which saw the Presiding Officer and West Scotland MSPs visit Dunterlie, and the group\u2019s chair Rena McGuire BEM invited to speak at Holyrood.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The group also secured \u00a315,000 from the National Lottery Awards for All to deliver its Community Vision, and \u00a330,000 from the Place Based Investment Fund to improve Dunterlie Resource Centre and create murals celebrating local life.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Rena said: \u201cIt\u2019s been a real pleasure being the chair of the action group over the past few years and to see the community coming together to try to sustain the amazing work being done by so many different groups in the area.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  READ NEXT: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barrheadnews.com\/news\/25460273.barrhead-mums-nightmare-community-plagued-rats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Mum watches rats squeeze under back door as &#8216;huge&#8217;
