{"id":429257,"date":"2025-09-16T16:03:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T16:03:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/429257\/"},"modified":"2025-09-16T16:03:13","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T16:03:13","slug":"birmingham-man-guilty-of-abducting-and-sexually-assaulting-girl-5-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/429257\/","title":{"rendered":"Birmingham man guilty of abducting and sexually assaulting girl, 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 bJoRPJ\">A man who abducted a child before sexually assaulting her at his house has been convicted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 bJoRPJ\">Mohammed Abdulraziq, 32, from Birmingham, was arrested after being discovered in the house in Winson Green with a five-year-old girl, on 30 March. <\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 bJoRPJ\">The girl was playing in the street when Abdulraziq took her into the house, West Midlands Police said, quickly prompting her mother and a friend to launch a search and spotted her after hearing her cries, before she was rescued. <\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 bJoRPJ\">Abdulraziq was found guilty of false imprisonment with intent to commit a sexual offence, sexual assault and assault, following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 bJoRPJ\">The court was told that the mother&#8217;s friend spotted the girl through a window and as she tried to climb through it the defendant punched her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 bJoRPJ\">Entry was then forced into the house by members of the public who detained him until officers arrived to arrest him, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 bJoRPJ\">Det Sgt Nicky Simms, from the Central Complex Child Abuse Investigation Team, said: &#8220;Abdulraziq was a predatory individual who took a young girl off the street and into his house.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 bJoRPJ\">&#8220;I must praise the courage of the girl and her mother in what has been a very sensitive investigation.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A man who abducted a child before sexually assaulting her at his house has been convicted.
