Coronation Street<\/a> star Charlotte Jordan<\/a> has revealed her emotion upon leaving the ITV soap after four years<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The actress, 29, will be bowing out of her Daisy Midgeley<\/a> role in the coming weeks<\/a>, after quitting the show for pastures new.<\/p>\n

Her explosive exit has already kicked off, with a vicious feud erupting between Daisy and her step-mum Jenny Connor<\/a> (Sally Ann Matthews<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Jen\u2019 had taken her eyes off little Bertie Osbourne, and he almost drowned in a hot tub<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The moment took her back to the death of her own son Tom, who passed away twelve years ago. In shocking scenes, she blamed Daisy for his passing.<\/p>\n

Since then we\u2019ve seen Daisy and her mum Christina (Amy Robbins) enact a vicious plot \u2013 setting up a fake dating profile<\/a> in the hope Jenny will give her savings to \u2018him\u2019, while they\u2019d secretly reap the benefits.<\/p>\n

The fella \u2013 Dom (Dominic Rickhards)<\/a> \u2013 really does exist, but will try and tempt Jenny into a fake investment scheme on his business.<\/p>\n

\u2018I think it\u2019s very bittersweet for Daisy\u2019 Charlotte explained, ahead of her departure.<\/p>\n

\u2018Weatherfield has been her home for a while now and, early on, was giving her all the things she wanted \u2013 family, community, stability, people to love more than she perhaps loves herself \u2013 but it\u2019s also been the source of so much trauma for her. <\/p>\n

\u2018I think we\u2019ve watched her slowly try to pick up the pieces since her stalking storyline, but she\u2019s ultimately realised she doesn\u2019t need to stay in a place that\u2019s caused her so much heartbreak. <\/p>\n

\u2018And it\u2019s just as well she\u2019s running far away to the other side of the planet, as she\u2019s left a mountain of destruction and angry people in her wake!\u2019<\/p>\n

Another person who will be affected by Daisy\u2019s goodbye is her boyfriend Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard)<\/a>, who will ultimately reach a point of no return in the wake of her betrayal.<\/p>\n

Charlotte continued: \u2018I\u2019m not a big crier. But let me tell you, I cried on and off for about four hours straight. <\/p>\n

\u2018My last scene was with the beautiful Rob Mallard, and we were meant to cry in the scene \u2013 but we were both dry as a bone.<\/p>\n

\u2018As soon as they yelled our final \u201ccut,\u201d we both burst into tears. Typical.<\/p>\n

\u2018The Corrie gang made it so special for me. The canteen made me my favourite lunch \u2013 which made me cry. The art department drew me a beautiful card \u2013 which made me cry. <\/p>\n

\u2018I would look over to Channique (Sterling-Brown) or Julia (Goulding) or Sal during our last lunch break and see them crying \u2013 which made me cry. I think I was medically dehydrated by the end of the day.\u2019<\/p>\n

Despite such a heartbreaking final story, Charlotte has teased that this may not be the last time we see the character.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s a very special building, and I have loved it\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n

\u2018And it\u2019s just goodbye for now, not goodbye forever.\u2019<\/p>\n

Coronation Street continues Monday, Wednesday and Friday at<\/strong> 8pm on ITV1.<\/strong><\/p>\n
